The trip far exceeded my expectations: the beauty of the countryside, the wonder of the painted churches and the warmth and friendliness of the people were all outstanding. I imagined that the country still bore many of the the scars of Ceaucescu’s tyranny and the bleak days of communism and for me, the country had a very warm vibrant progressive feel to it… we LOVED it!
